We stand apart in our commitment to quality, sustainability, and the transformative power of proper biomechanics.

Answer: All our footwear is designed to be worn with or without socks.

Answer: Our shoes are designed with a very small amount of cushioning that strikes a balance between providing comfort and maintaining a natural feel. This cushioning offers a subtle layer of protection while still allowing you to connect with the ground and move naturally.

Question: "Do your shoes have arch support?"
Answer: Bearfoot shoes do not have arch support. Arch support, along with other features commonly found in modern footwear, can hinder the natural movement and function of the feet.

Question: "How wide are your shoes?"
Answer: All our footwear is designed with an EEE width, which provides ample room for your feet to spread naturally and comfortably. This wider width accommodates a variety of foot shapes and promotes a more natural and unrestricted fit.

Question: "Is your footwear okay for people with flat feet?"
Answer: Bearfoot shoes can be a great choice for individuals with flat feet. The minimalist design of our shoes encourages natural foot movement and muscle engagement. By not providing excessive arch support, our shoes allow your feet to work and adapt more naturally, which can contribute to strengthening the muscles that support your arches over time. Please read our 'Fix Your Flat Feet' blog post for more information on this topic. You can find it here: https://bearfoot.store/blogs/education/fix-your-flat-feet

Question: "Is your footwear okay for people with narrow feet?"
Answer: We currently offer footwear with an EEE width, which caters to the natural wide shape of feet. However, it's important to note that wearing shoes with a wider fit can help feet adapt and become more comfortable over time. The extra room allows the toes to spread naturally, potentially addressing the issue of atrophy caused by years of wearing restrictive footwear.

Question: "Can the insoles be removed?"
Answer: We advise against removing the insoles included with your Bearfoot shoes, as they are securely glued in place. Attempting to remove them could damage the original insoles. For those preferring alternative insoles, we suggest placing them directly over the existing insoles. The shoe typically has sufficient space to comfortably accommodate both sets of insoles.

Question: "Can the insoles be replaced with alternative ones?"

Question: "How should your footwear fit?"
Answer: Our shoes are designed to offer a comfortable and natural fit. We recommend that there's enough space for your toes to wiggle and spread within the toe box and that the width feels snug but not tight. Allow your arches to rest naturally, and make sure the heel is comfortably secure without excessive movement. While our sizing recommendations are a starting point, use our sizing tool on the product page for guidance. The shoes should be comfortable and promote natural movement without causing significant pain or discomfort.

Question: "Does your footwear have arch support?"

On average, our shoes can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years or even longer, depending on how frequently they're worn and the activities they're used for. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning, treating, and resoling, can also extend their longevity. The lifespan of our Bruin boots is much longer and can be used for many years.

Addressing the root cause and supporting proper foot function can reduce the risk of plantar fasciitis and other foot problems. To learn more - check out our Education Blog.
