They are good for lifting heavy things in.

Best shoes to date. Like many other reviewers, I’ve spent a lot on different brands and none have come close to the grip and comfort of these. Toe box is plenty wide and I don’t get any heel slip or feeling of instability. Great product and I’ll definitely be spreading the good word.

I bought my first pair of LTs last summer. I wore them every where! For work, for lifting, for football practice (coaching), for church, and everything you can imagine. They are abbey the best shoe period.
I saw the email about the pre-order for the new ice gray. That Nighy my son woke up in the middle of the night right when the pre-order opened so rocking him back to sleep I pre-ordered some HT ice grays and correct toes. These have now become my sole lifting shoes. I have been easing into the correct toes as well. All in all great product and one day when the velcro version comes I will wake up in the middle of the night to pre-order again.
Side note I am pretty sure they are based out of Fargo ND which is great to support a business in my area.

Have used for my entire training week. These shoes are incredibly comfortable, will grip the ground extremely well, while remaining flexible. By far my new favorite training shoe.
Vanusa S.
is a great training shoe. very comfortable.

The Bearfoot Ursus (HT) is a superior alternative to the discontinued Reebok Power Lite Mid training shoe. The sizing is true and the lightweight fit is excellent. One might consider swapping out the flat factory laces with a pair of round 57" boot laces to be able to tie the shoes tighter as I did. Highly recommended shoe and will definitely be purchasing a second pair when they are back in stock.

Helps gripping the floor with my toes when lifting. Helps my stability.

I've tried many flat shoes and slippers, A7, Notorious Lifts, Lifting Large, Vivobarefoot and more. Nothing compares to the Bearfoot Ursus for my feet in particular! I have had trouble with the other flats at the arch part of my foot also being wide and not being able to flatten out, which cause my toes to overlap in the other shoes. In the Ursus, I do not see these issues at all and able to root a lot more effectively during my lifting.
Love these shoes and highly recommend!

These things are all I ever want to wear. Im going to buy another pair so ill have one for the gym and one for everyday use.
John C.
Awesome! They should call these "roots"! My legs feel like an oak tree when I deadlift. No slip or roll in my feet.
Keyon P.
Lots of toe box room, and so comfortable I also wear them as house shoes!
Dallas M.
Great shoes for powerlifting, makes a huge difference while dead lifting!
Miranda T.
Great shoes. I wear them for squat/deadlift but, also have just been wearing them. Will buy again
Robert
The moment I opened the box I knew these shoes were well crafted. Then I put them on. They were the closest experience to bare foot that I have found in any shoe. I have wide feet and have always had trouble finding shoes that fit me properly. I like to lift with bare feet to get the feedback from foot to ground interface, these shoes are a great way to feel that if you have to or want to wear shoes in the winter months or your gym requires it. I was also afraid they might look too much like elf shoes based on the pictures, but they look great in person and would wear them out and about. I am now wanting to get a pair of the low tops when my size is back in stock. On sizing, I found them to be true to size length wise and very comfortable width wise (keeping in mind I have very wide feet with a bunion). I think these shoes will last awhile, but I would buy them again if they were stolen.

So far I use them as everyday shoes. Needed to develop the natural walking muscles in my feet and so far so good! I love the real leather and close to the floor feel they provide
Robert B.
Best shoe I’ve ever worn lifting related and comfort related. The quality is very high and the shoe isn’t big and bulky. You are really able to establish a great connection to the floor. Bearfoot has outdone themselves.
Eric S.
Hands down best lifting shoe I've ever had. Love how it hugs the heel and having the freedom to actually spread my toes, I felt rooting I never felt before. I worry wrestling shoes for years for the flat surface and very cost effective. After buying these bearfoot shoes I will and won't ever go back
Liam T.
Make sure you order true to your foot size. Im a 10.5 true but ordered an 11, which causes my foot to slide around slightly when sumo deadlifting.
Courtney J.
Shoes felt great. Best lifting shoes I’ve ever owned!
Mike S.
This really is a phenomenal lifting shoe. It's basically a vastly improved version of that Reebok Powerlifting/Crossfit shoe or a Metal Squat Shoe. It's super comfortable while providing that wrestling-shoe connection with the floor. I normally lift in Vans, and this shoe is better. It also doesn't look as weird as basically any other barefoot-type shoe. I highly recommend for anyone.

The Ursus High-Top is the most stable shoe I've ever worn. It sits perfectly flat, will not move, and the wide toe box allows plenty of room to properly root the feet. And while there is plenty of room for the toes the shoe fits tightly over the ankle to provide great stability. I used to squat in lifters, but after switching to the Ursus I doubt I'll ever go back as the flat sole is ideal for squats as well as deadlifts. I pretty much wear these exclusively at the gym now as if I even wear sneakers when I'm curling I feel less rooted to the ground.
Anthony S.
I have had the shoes for a few days now and I have completed two workouts and they are very nice. I love the low profile of the shoes and the width. Please make in more colors.
Kevin M.
When I first heard about these shoes from Squat University, it got me curious, I had never really though about the width of my shoes when lifting. After debating it for a few days, I decided to give them a try, and the rest is history. It’s not an exaggeration when they say these are some of the most comfortable shoes you’ll ever own. I’ve noticed that it’s also reinforced my stability when lifting heavy weights compared to my other lifting shoes. I would definitely recommend these, and looking forward to more purchasing more products from these guys. Thanks for the amazing shoes.

By far the most stylish and optimal footwear for strengnth athletes and bafefoot enthusiasts. Best of all no one will bat an eye when you wear these shoes compared to Vibram Five Fingers!!!
Lachlan B.
I love them! Its a combination of chuck taylors and volleys in one sweet symphony of sneaker!! I'm a us14 in Nikes, Jordans, Reebok and the 13s were TTS!
The grip and connection on the ground from fore foot to heel is on point, wide toe box gives you 3 points of contact which is unheard of with shoes on and after training bare foot for 3-4 months my CorrectToes still fit while wear the shoe.
Richard L.
Get the Hi Tops! Easily one of the most comfortable shoes i lift in. Great grip, fit, feel and looks sweet too!
Normally a size 8½ US and bought the same size which was a perfect fit for me.
Tobias P.
At first glance the transition from the sabo goodlift to the ursus HT felt like going from army boots to ballerina slippers. My first thought was if it was even worth the long wait, and did I really spend money on these??
That being said..
My first workout with the ursus changed my mindset completely, and now I will never squat in heels ever again. Never have I ever felt this rooted to the ground. I will most definitely stick with the Ursus for quite some time.
Nicholas M.
I have the low tops as well. These have amazing grip and the finish is great.
I do have a fairly big issue though. I have very wide feet. Easily always wear 4e width sometimes more. I'm also not a small guy at 6ft3, 320lbs.
That being said out of the box I have the shoes laced as tight as I can with the fabric touching the last 3 eyelids and they are not that tight. The low tops stretched out with use so it's inevitable these will as well. In months these might be to loose to use.

As the epitome of the average lifter, I initially hesitated buying these. But after wearing them for a week in the gym, and gradually more and more doing everyday activity, I'm going to have to get a 2nd pair. Amazing shoes by an even better company.
Joel P.
I love these shoes! Very comfortable and they really do give me a great feel for the floor. I set a new PR on deadlifts yesterday!
I may purchase another pair to wear as casual shoes.
Matt S.
INCREDIBLE TRAINING SHOE . One of the major things that I realized when first putting this on is how comfortable they are to wear. Interesting how such a “minimalist” shoe could still be so comfy. Squats, deadlifts and bench just feel so glued in and locked in place.
P.S. ****HIGHLY RECOMMEND ORDERING AT LEAST A HALF SIZE DOWN FROM YOUR NORMAL SHOE
Robert j.
Amazing shoe ! well worth the wait
Jase S.
Most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve owned. Absolutely love them and reccommend them to everyone.
Roger K.
I ordered these shoes because I squat barefoot and you cannot squat barefoot in a meet. Got these this week and I have done regular squats, Deads, deficit deads and heel elevated squats. These shoes are awesome. The high top does not restrict any ankle mobility. Shoes are comfortable and collapse to fit into the shoe compartment of my FNF backpack. No need for squat shoes just buy these and go hard
Chris B.
These are just as great as the low top ursus! I did order a pair that was a half size too big but I ordered the right size of the high tops and they fit like a glove!
Heather
So comfy - love the material, and grips the ground perfectly! Love the wide toe box.
John H.
Shoes fit like a glove and the closest thing to have a "barefoot" feel and still have a shoe on. The sole has amazing grip. Best shoe for lifting I have ever tried.
Jon B.
I bought these shoes as a way to stay as close to barefoot as possible . For deadlifts, overhead presses, and low bar squats. And even into accessory work. Having the proprioceptive feedback from direct ground contact is beneficial in keeping me conscious of my body from top to bottom while lifting. These shoes will give you that same feeling with added grip and they are comfortable as all heck. It’s like a tiny baby bear hugging your feet.
Erica G.
Such a well-designed shoe. It has very good grip on the floor and a wide shoe box. They are unbelievably comfortable. Improved my ankle mobility and balance during squat!
Chris G.
Great shoes, really feel the floor
Dustin H.
Solid shoe. Looks great, feels great!
John S.
Shoes feel very comfortable. However, I had anticipated a bit wider toe box. I ordered my regular size, and length fits well. 100% did not care for the way the shoes came laced! Not sure how well I like the way the high top portion is constructed. Meaning, not as easy to insert your foot like a set of "Chucks." With my toe spreaders, and socks on, doesn't feel that great. Toes feel a bit cramped. But, as comfortable as they are, I'll probably buy another pair for sure.
